RIVER ACCESS

Vyrnwy    Banwy    Severn

The River Banwy rises near the Northwest border of old Montgomeryshire and flows Eastwards to its confluence with the Vyrnwy, 5 miles from Welshpool. Canoeable from the start or as a continuation of the Twrch only in high water (HW) or from Neuadd in Medium Water (MW), but is canoeable with hard work (lifting over boulders) in Low Water (LW). Grade I increasing to II in HW.
